Bureau of Obligate and Accompanier for Rural Development (BOARD) was established in year 1995 by some like minded social activists and dedicated professionals to provide a better quality & dignified lives to marginalized people and socially excluded communities specially focus on promotion of leadership development among women and dalits. It got registered under the Indian Trust Act, 1882 in the year 1995 and under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, in the year 2000. It is governed by five member executive committee comprising 03 female and 02 male members. The registered office of BOARD is at Shahjahanpur, Dist. Patna, Bihar, India while field offices are at Fatuha, Paliganj in Bihar and Sahibganj in Jharkhand.
Since its inception, It has been rendering humanitarian services in Bihar and Jharkhand as a non-political; non religious; non-profit making organization. It’s pro-poor policy and core concern for the SCs, STs, Minorities and other deprived sections of the society has always been reflected in its programs. It has been working in the most inaccessible remote areas of above state, specifically in the field of Community Development, Governance, Socio-Economic Development, Education & Livelihood Skill training ,Health & Hygiene etc.
